I have been slacking...

I have made a few trips to various stores throughout the week and my crazy life got in the way of me taking pictures (sorry). Despite my slacking I wanted to update my totals for the month with what I spent. The totals in parenthesis are what I would have spent without sales or coupons

4/14- Safeway OOP$5.07 ($5.07)
4/14-Sprouts OOP$4.63 ($4.63)
4/12-Target OOP $7.30 (39.34)
4/13-Costco OOP$10.00

Total for all of these stops
$27.00 OOP ($59.04)

Monday

10.26.09

This morning (while my little one was at a playdate) I stopped at Sunflower Market, Albertsons and Costco. Each week it sounds as if I am running all day when in fact I am not. It does take time...don't get me wrong. However most of that time is spent in the comfort of my own home planning. I do this while winding down at night or watching a movie with the kids. My morning grocery run took me about 1 1/2 hours this morning and that includes drive time. So not too bad. Here is the breakdown.

Off to do my afternoon trip...only King Soopers so I will update soon!

Well it is fall break, meaning both of my kiddos are home. That combined with my youngest playdate cancelling because of sickness, I had both of them tag along with me with me this morning. It was surprisingly not bad. I think it was because I prepped everything well last night. I was able to stop at Albertsons, Sunflower Market and Costco and get home by 11:30am. For those who missed last week's post Albertsons is still doubleing/tripling/ quadrupling coupons this week. meaning any coupon under $1.00 will be worth $1.00. Anything $1.00 and over will just be worth face value. They say that they will not double a coupon that states that it cannot be doubled. However they doubled mine today that said "no doubling". Funny enought the only problems I had with them doubling were the ones I used last week that did not state "no doubling". Go figure. I had to have them correct it today. They also had an unadvertised promo on Pilsbury products (many of which were on sale). Spend $10 in participating products and get and addition $2.00 off. Even without coupons made for some decent deals. Products included (strictly from my really bad memory) Pilsbury Flour 5 # bags (cheaper than Sams), Crisco Sticks, Cake Mixes, Prosting, Crisco Oil, Brownie Minis Mix, Pilsbury Easy Frost and I think there were a few more that I am forgetting. I still need to hit Target and Kings this afternoon. Here is what I got this morning.

So I just wanted to update that I did hit Costco and King Soopers once more this week. I forgot a few essentials for birthday celebrations. The deals were not the best but I did the best I could under the circumstances. Then I hit Costco to take advantage of a few coupon deals they had that were decent and things I happen to be low on. The soup was a total convenience buy for a lady I was supposed to bring dinner to that was sick. With Scott out of town I really didn't want to cook and I only needed enough for three servings for her. So it was definitely overpriced but a must have as I didn't have time to pull together a dinner that evening. Anyways here is the breakdown. Keep in the mind the savings % is skewed as it is a Costco trip and their prices are already discounted.
