This week was a little hectic and I ended up doing my shopping on a couple of different days. I also had a get together at my house and my daughter's birthday is this week so it is possible that I may have gone over my budget a little this week. I will have to reign it in a little next week to make sure that I am under to make up the difference. Here we go...

Much better than my numbers last week. Although it does not look like I have gone over my budget, I did have to make an earlier Wal-Mart run for some things I had to have for the get together this week. I will post that trip later today. :) Safeway is having some great deals this week! My savings % there was a whopping 84% AND I still have a $2.00 CAT to use next week. Sunflower Market & Sams 9/17/10

This week was a big shopping trip. It seems like almost every store had something I am out of or wanted. I will post in separate posts this week for each store. This is what my trip to Sunflower and Sams Club looked like this week.

In my opinion the savings % really stinks. However this was partly Sams Club purchases and they do not figure in savings although there prices were a lot cheaper than other stores on the items I bought. I guess it will have to do.

Well it is fall break, meaning both of my kiddos are home. That combined with my youngest playdate cancelling because of sickness, I had both of them tag along with me with me this morning. It was surprisingly not bad. I think it was because I prepped everything well last night. I was able to stop at Albertsons, Sunflower Market and Costco and get home by 11:30am. For those who missed last week's post Albertsons is still doubleing/tripling/ quadrupling coupons this week. meaning any coupon under $1.00 will be worth $1.00. Anything $1.00 and over will just be worth face value. They say that they will not double a coupon that states that it cannot be doubled. However they doubled mine today that said "no doubling". Funny enought the only problems I had with them doubling were the ones I used last week that did not state "no doubling". Go figure. I had to have them correct it today. They also had an unadvertised promo on Pilsbury products (many of which were on sale). Spend $10 in participating products and get and addition $2.00 off. Even without coupons made for some decent deals. Products included (strictly from my really bad memory) Pilsbury Flour 5 # bags (cheaper than Sams), Crisco Sticks, Cake Mixes, Prosting, Crisco Oil, Brownie Minis Mix, Pilsbury Easy Frost and I think there were a few more that I am forgetting. I still need to hit Target and Kings this afternoon. Here is what I got this morning.

I decided this week to divide up my shopping into two days because my SIL wants to tag a long tomorrow to kind of learn the ropes. Today I shopped at Albertsons, Sams Club and Sunflower Market. Albertsons is having some spectacular deals and they are doubling/tripling/quadrupling coupons up to $1. Which means there were many things that I got for free. I noticed after I got home that they did not double a few of my coupons so next week when I go in I will have to have them fix it. My total would have been a whole $3.80 cheaper if they had gotten the coupons correct. If you missed Albertsons sale I did hear the Albertsons on University is doubling next week as well. So I am sure there will be some more great deals next week. You can check this link tomorrow and it should have the updated sale information for all of the stores here in CO. I would call your Albies first though to make sure they are doubling. They were out of a few things that I wanted but I was able to get a rain check with a note on there to double my coupons all of the items I got my rain checks on will be free after coupons so I was pretty happy about that. Overall I felt it was worth the trip. I bought a few things I normally wouldn’t just because they were free, like the warm delights and the Betty Crocker instant potatoes. The potatoes are nice to have on hand for thickening soups and for camping. It looks like this week seems to be all about stocking my freezer. I will post the rest of my shopping tomorrow. 1. Makayla’s Birthday Party and Dinner fall in this week’s budget so I am purchasing a few things that I normally wouldn’t but need to because I don’t have them on hand.
